Make a Splash, Read!
June 7-August 2
Summer reading will end on Monday, August 2 @ 9 p.m. Be sure to come in with your completed log to recieve your ending prize and be entered into a grand prize drawing including cool kites,
Playmobil undersea toys, books, and a SanDisk MP3 video player.
Reading Patch Club
For kids infant to grade 6. Kids can earn cool, colorful, embroidered patches to collect or sew onto your backpack or jacket. Register at the Youth Services Desk to begin earning patches; for Cary cardholders only.

Museum Adventure Pass. Cary Area Public Library card holders can check out a Macy's Museum Adventure Pass at the library for free admission, free parking or other perks at 17 museums and cultural institutions including Brookfield Zoo, Chicago Botanic Garden, Lake County Discovery Museum and Kohl's Children's Museum. With your Cary Area Library card, you can choose a pass for the attraction of your choice. Passes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and are good for one week.
Your Child's New Library Card!
If your child is age 5 or over, he or she can come in and get their own library card. Go to Circulation desk to sign up for the new card and after your receive your child's new card, come to the Information Desk and we will take an instant photo of your child and their new library card. You will also receive a special holder to display your photo.
Free Books Online
International Children's Digital Library (ICDL), a nonprofit foundation, offers for free its collection of more than 2,500 books. It's waiting for you online, whether you are interested in learning a foreign language through literature, enlarging your world view, or just looking for a good story to read yourself or to a child.
